A Search Ownership service Free to check · no contract
For small businesses

Help more customers find you, wherever they’re looking.

Search has changed and most of it happened quietly. We check how your business turns up across the places people look now, fix what’s wrong or missing, and send you a plain one-page report each month.

Free to check. No jargon, no contract, no sales calls unless you ask for one.

What changed

Fewer people are scrolling. More are just asking.

For twenty years, finding a local business meant typing something into a search box and picking from a list. That still happens. But a growing number of your customers now ask a question and get a short answer back with two or three business names in it.

It’s a small change that has a large effect on you. A list of ten gave everyone a chance. An answer with three names in it does not. And because nobody tells you when you’ve been left out, most owners have no idea it’s happening.

You don’t need to understand any of the technology to deal with this. You need to know whether you’re turning up, and what to do if you’re not.

That’s all this is. We check, we fix, we tell you what happened.

What we actually do

Three simple jobs, done every month

No dashboard to log into. No acronyms. Nothing you need to learn.

1

Check

We ask the questions your customers ask — the sort of thing someone types when they want what you sell — and note whether your business comes up, what’s said about you, and who comes up instead.

2

Fix

Wrong opening times, an old address, missing services, details that disagree with each other across different websites. We work through them in the order that’s costing you most.

3

Report

One page, once a month, in English. What changed, what we did, what’s next. If nothing much happened, it’ll say that too rather than padding it out.

Where we look

The places customers actually look for you

Not one website. Several, and they don’t agree with each other as often as you’d hope.

  • Search engines, including the answers that appear above the results
  • The assistants people now ask directly — on phones, laptops and speakers
  • Maps and local listings
  • Directories, some of which you’ve never heard of
  • Review sites and the summaries built from them

The problem is rarely one big mistake. It’s usually a dozen small inconsistencies that add up to a business the machine can’t confidently describe — so it describes someone else instead.

Sensible questions

Things people ask

I’m not technical. Is that going to be a problem?

No. There’s nothing for you to log into and nothing to learn. You get a page of paper once a month and you can ring us if something on it doesn’t make sense. That’s the whole of your involvement.

Is this the same as SEO?

It overlaps with it. The honest answer is that a good SEO company is probably already doing some of this, and if yours is, you may not need us. What’s different is that we’re specifically checking the short answers that name two or three businesses, which is a narrower and newer job than ranking on a page.

How do I know it’s working?

The score on the monthly report. If it isn’t moving after a few months, that’s a conversation we should have — and since there’s no contract, you’re free to stop rather than argue about it.

Will you keep phoning me?

No. Check your business, read the results, and if you never contact us again that’s completely fine. We’d rather you came back when you’re ready than felt hounded into it.

How long does it take to see a difference?

Wrong details usually get corrected within a month or two. Coming up more often takes longer — three to six months is realistic, and more in a busy town. We’d rather say that upfront than promise you something quick.

What if I already do all this myself?

Then you may not need us, and we’ll say so. Run the free check — if it comes back clean, you’ve confirmed you’re on top of it and it cost you a minute.

It takes about a minute, costs nothing, and there’s no catch beyond us hoping you like the results enough to ask what’s next.
